Works great July 3, 2006 Kristin Cox (Houston, Texas United States) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm using this in a Sony Erricson cell phone (710a), and it works like a champ, no problems. I didn't even have to format this one!
works great September 8, 2008 Maria Iano (MD, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use these both with and without the adapter - in a digital picture frame, in my camera, and in my cell phone. They work well in all three. Very happy with this product.
Works with older Sony cameras November 13, 2009 Ian G. Heller (Boulder, CO) I bought this for an older Sony camera that I use for business travel. The camera will accept DUO but not PRO DUO Memory Sticks. Since this item was advertised as being for a Sony game system (PSP, I think), I wasn't 100% sure it would work. As an FYI, there is a great cross reference guide for cameras on the support section of Sony's website. As it turns out, this item works perfectly and I'm very happy with it.
Ideal for my Sony voice recorder June 14, 2010 Imre Oliver Kozak (Hungary) I bought a pair of these for my Sony ICD-BM1 voice recorder.
This dictaphone only can accept the original memory stick media, not larger than 128 MB. Therefore, any of other variations (Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Pro Duo, Memory Stick Pro-HG, etc.) are not compatible with this voice recorder. I imagine there are still many devices out there using the original Memory Stick cards. I didn't try other cards (as I don't have such cards), however I checked the compatibility for my dictaphone on Sony's support webpage, and I recommend the same for you. [...]
However, among the original Memory Stick cards, this is the fastest variation available. The official name is "Memory Stick High Speed Duo", and you have to pay attention to the product code, "MSH-M128A", as the product with N in the ending is slow speed (MSH-M128N or MSH-128). I wish there were even faster cards with this controller standard (useful when loading the card, or when copying over the PC).
My voice recorder also needs the included dummy adapters, to fit for the larger format. They work perfectly well, no compatibility, quality or speed issues. I use a lot of short recordings, and sometimes long recordings, but I didn't notice any speed reduction due to wear of the flash memory (common for pendrives and memory cards after many read-write cycles - I recommend to only buy new memory cards).
So, highly recommended.
Note:
There is a Memory Stick MSH-256 256 MB card also on the market. This is slow speed, and unless specifically noted, devices will record only 128 MB.
just fine October 2, 2005 James C. Cox (Southern Oregon) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is my first memory stick and it works as advertised. I just pluged it into the slot, followed the directions and it worked just fine.
