| Customer Reviews: Nice Big Sturdy Case April 14, 2005 C. Palmer (USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This case works well with large 88-key keyboards (e.g., Alesis QS8.1). The padded velcro straps really hold the keyboard in place no matter how much you bump it around. I sold the Alesis and purchased (downgraded) a Korg SP-200 (which also has 88 keys). The Korg is a MUCH smaller 88-key keyboard and really this case is too much for it. But again, the straps hold it in place. If the case came with additional foam padding (like the SKB cases) it would be better for the smaller 88-key keyboards. If the 76-key cases were just a tad bit bigger, I could use one of those to house my 88-key Korg. Anyway, I end up just carrying my Korg without a case sometimes b/c the case is so big. However, this is not the fault of the case. It is a very sturdy case and the wheels are great. I've not had any problems with it over the last 1.5 years. It can at least withstand my weight of 170lbs (sitting or standing) too.
Somebody pinch me... September 13, 2009 C. Goulet (Los Angeles, CA) I went looking for a case for my Roland 88-key A90-EX, and as such, there were few that were durable without being scary-heavy and expensive. This one, just like the fable, is 'just right'. It swallowed my beast with room to spare, swaddled it like a newborn and I have never felt more satisfied with one of these things. I've had everything from nylon bags to ATA cases, and the good folks at Gator really did their homework. If you've got a similar axe and want to take care of it, need to road it and roll it around, and don't want to worry about water, dust, or requisite back-pain pills, this is your baby. Build is beautiful, with a perfect fit and a nice, soft interior that's durable as well. I am so happy with mine. You could certainly spend more on a heavier case, but other than running over it with your car, I don't think an ATA or similar case will do a better job of protecting your ivories. The Gator strikes the perfect balance. Get that credit card out; you won't be sorry.
