Perfect for the Privia Keyboard May 6, 2005 Marvin Edwards 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This was very easy to assemble using the fitted styrofoam pieces that come with the stand. So, don't toss the styrofoam pieces until after assembly. It is really ingenious the way the designers came up with this idea. The two sides stand up nicely in the fitted pieces and it makes everything go together perfectly!
looks fantastic and does not wobble August 19, 2006 Stephanie (Kenosha, WI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have it on berber carpeting and it does not shake. I previously bought and quickly returned an x-stand for this keyboard. That looked terrible, the keyboard slid around on the top, I had to put rubber matts on the supports to keep the keyboard in place, and it wobbled terribly. After that I decided this stand couldn't be much worse and it would look much nicer. This one does a much better job and I'm very happy with this purchase.
Almost perfect....almost! September 25, 2005 S. D. Ward (Monroe, NC USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This stand was really easy to put together. As mentioned before, do NOT throw away the styrofoam pieces until you have finished putting it together.
The only reason I do not give it a 5 star rating is that I've found it to be -slightly- unstable when you have to forcefully strike the keys of the piano....very minor flaw.... but otherwise an excellent stand.
Once you put it together it looks great March 17, 2006 Tracy Reduzzi (Pennsylvania) But the instructions look like they were written by a 4 year old. Very unclear and confusing. You basically have to interpret what you are supposed to do by looking at pictures. However, once you get past that, it does the job.
wobbly on a carpet November 6, 2005 MLH 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Unlike the stand for e.g. the Suzuki digital piano, this stand does not have a broader base than the side supports which are the same (narrow) width as the keyboard is deep. This means that if you want to place the stand on a carpet, the piano will wobble back and forth making play impossible. You will then need to construct your own hard floor or supports to make the stand usable.
Very expensive for essentially 3 pieces of pressed wood and a couple of screws. If you must have it, try to buy in a package or included with the piano, not separately.
