 One of the best January 6, 2009
Verbatim makes one of the best double layer DVD media to my experience. it works great with my Sony DRX-810ULT and I have had very few errors using Verbatim.

I bought 3 packs of these in Dec/08 and they were all made in Singapore, so they are great quality discs (Disc ID: MKM-001-00). I'm purchasing another lot in a few weeks and will update this info. Much recommended.
GREAT PERFORMANCE FOR LITE-ON BURNERS January 5, 2009
I have an older Lite-On DVD burner, and it can be finicky about the media I use. I settled on Verbatim a long time ago, and all I can add is that staying within limits of speed on DL discs (2.4x, 6x) these work perfectly. I made a huge mistake buying 8x Verbatim DL, and my burner will not process them at any speed. Funny, the 8x DL work fine on my Sony Combo DVD/VHS writer at 1X, but only the 2.4X +R DL work with my PC Lite-On. Perfect burns every time, even at 6x - no coasters.
Never a problem December 24, 2008
I had problems with another brand but my memory fails me on its name. Every disk failed. Then I purchased the Verbatim and was happy when the first disk recoreded a full two hours at high quality without a problem. And I haven't had any problems with these disks. I highly recommend the Verbatim disks. A little more expensive up front but they perform. Never a Memory problem to fill the landfill.
Simply the best December 23, 2008
I can't say with any degree of technicallity what burner I'm using but I've burned these on 3 computers (mostly using DVD Decryptor) and have never had a failure in over a hundred burns. There were some slightly defective copies in the beginning when I tried to decrypt with DVDD and burn with Nero (movie menus sometimes didn't work) but once I started burning with the decrypting software that cleared right up. At the moment my computer is a new Lenovo dual core running Windows Vista with the stock burner and it works great. I don't know why people disparage an entire manufacturer because they can't use a product correctly but if you check the numbers you'll see these work for a lot more people than not. There might be garbage involved somewhere but I don't think it's the discs, and certainly not all of them.
