Combining instruments in this fashion creates tracks that are pleasant enough to listen to, and make especially good background music. What is missing is melody--or an elegant way to create it. Though children can record their own vocal or musical tracks using an external microphone, Super Duper Music Looper would have benefited from some form of keyboard interface that would let them record sequences of notes to top off their compositions. Without this, musically astute players may notice that their products are missing an important component.
